The story of Vika is really charming: our Kateryna Matsievskaya noticed a repost of Ukrainian actress Inna Prykhodko with the publication of Victoria Gerasimenko. The girl wrote that she dreams of an electric wheelchair and in order to raise money for it, she will translate TV programs from foreign languages into Ukrainian for a donation.
On 27.12, a festive performance of the Lion King for children of military personnel was held at the Art School under the patronage of the Shevchenkiv District Military Administration. Art school pupils took part in the performance, we admire their talents.
A special task in our trip to Lyman was to equip the local branch of the State Emergency Service with a set of tools for preparing buildings for the winter period.
We managed to bring 2 rechargeable batteries, 2 angle grinders, a charger for a screwdriver, a pneumatic stapler, a cordless drill-screwdriver - thanks to Dnipro-M...
We prepared for a long time before the New Year's humanitarian trip to the de-occupied Izyum and Lyman: we collected warm things for the children, bought sweet gifts, attracted charitable brands and many caring people so that the children could feel the holiday.
During our humanitarian mission, Four-legged Santa also visited Lyman and Izyum and brought 100 kg of feed for dogs and cats.
Four-legged Santa is a charity project to support low-income animal owners with feed, initiated by friends of Nadia's Vovk Charitable Fund "Berehynia" Zoya Shkurko and Dmytro Podturkin.
Nadiya Vovk, the founder of the Charity fund "Berehynia", and Ilya Yanitskyi, the director of the fund, visited Uzhhorod medical institutions to help with their equipment, because Western Ukraine is a strategically important region for the rehabilitation of the Ukrainian military.
Our volunteer Vitaly Dorofeev visited Liman with the Rise Up Ukraine partner fund immediately after the deoccupation. The trip lasted 3 days in total.
The condition of the Lyman community could be described as catastrophic: instead of roads, just a direction, children from 6 to 11 years old are standing at the abandoned roadblocks and asking for help, colossal destruction, downed power lines, broken houses, shops, burned cars, the fire station building is destroyed...
The Novovolynsk community received humanitarian aid from the Nadia`s Vovk Charity Fund Berehynia: 11 medical beds with orthopedic mattresses, 100 wheelchairs and various medical hygiene products. We thank the owner of the rehabilitation center in Warsaw, Grzegorz Schweier, who acted as a partner of this aid to the Novovolinska Central City Hospital for People with Special Needs.
Today we had the opportunity to honor the memory of the heroes of the 112th Territorial Defense Brigade of the Kyiv city and to open a monument commemorating their heroic deed. Thanks to their courage, we continue to live under the Ukrainian flag. They were the first to stand in the way of the invaders going to the city, and we have no right to forget that.
The "Berehynia" team received a request from our military from the 72nd separate mechanized brigade of the Black Zaporozhian motorized infantry battalion to repair two cars that evacuate the wounded from the battlefield in the Donetsk direction.
