Геннадій Вовк – радник зі стратегічного розвитку Благодійного фонду Надії Вовк “Берегиня”. Геннадій особливо гостро відчуває значення волонтерства, адже його рідним містом є незламне місто Бахмут.

Hennadiy was born on March 21, 1982. He spent his entire childhood in Bakhmut, Donetsk region. Studied at a school for 10 years with an advanced study of English and history. He finished his last class at another school with a focus on chemistry and biology, as well as at Small academy of sciences, as he saw development in the direction of pharmaceuticals.

From the 3rd year of university, Hennadiy started working – the formation of an independent life began. Further professional activity was related to the pharmaceutical industry. Work at pharmaceutical plants and representative offices. He worked as a commercial director of the Biopharma plant – in this position he gained experience in reforming from a state-owned enterprise to a commercial one, setting up access to foreign markets, working with neighboring countries (CIS countries).

Having gained considerable work experience, Hennadiy decided to expand his knowledge of marketing and management. He received his second education at the Institute of Market Relations and Business in Kharkiv, the Faculty of Marketing.

Professional and personal growth led Hennadiy to logistics, he has been working in this field for about 10 years. An important career step was the position of commercial director of Ukr Poshta. Due to high competition, there was a need to reform the enterprise and put it on a commercial track. Here Hennadiy realized that new knowledge was needed – he completed his master's degree at the Academy of Management under the President of Ukraine, the Faculty of Management of Large Enterprises.

Hennadiy and his family bought an apartment and moved to Irpin, which gradually became a home. Before the full-scale invasion, he had been working in a logistics company, where branches were developed abroad. The connection was established with many countries, there were many plans to implement. All parcels were sent by plane through the Boryspil airport, so the beginning of the war stopped all business and put ideas on hold. With the occupation of Irpen, the family had to experience all the horrors of war. On March 10, we were lucky enough to leave the city on foot and, when the family was safe, the first internal impulse to help those in need with humanitarian aid began – acquaintances with the territory defenders, who were holding the direction of Hostomel-Bucha. The need to help is a conscious choice of a citizen acting for the good of his state. This was the only chosen path of Hennadiy Vovk.

At a time when the country was shocked and paralyzed, Hennadiy undertook to help in his own way – establishing communication and logistics in the delivery and transportation of humanitarian aid from abroad and on the territory of Ukraine. At first, Hennadiy and his wife helped through other funds. There were quite a lot of people who wanted to help, but when aid goes through several hands, it is more difficult to track it, to use it quickly and effectively. Thus, it was decided to create Nadiya`s Vovk Charitable Fund "Berehynia", so that the final destination was fixed, reported and reached the hands that are waiting for this help. "I am proud of the results of the fund: it`s working, expanding, a large amount of assistance has been provided to the frontline, IDPs, State Emergency Service and other needy people; there are associations with other charitable organizations. The activity does not fade away, but on the contrary, it connects more and more people to this cause."
