On 14 May, Mykola Tymoshyk’s book Ukrainians in Great Britain was presented.

This publication explores the history of Ukrainian emigration to Great Britain — a subject that remained underexplored for many years but carries particular relevance today. It tells the stories of Ukrainians who, far from home, preserved their language, culture, and connection to Ukraine while working to strengthen Ukrainian identity.

The book is based on archival materials, library collections, and personal testimonies gathered by Mykola Tymoshyk during his research stay in Great Britain. Ukrainians in Great Britain helps preserve this history, revisit important chapters of the past, and show how much Ukrainians continued to do for their country while living abroad.

For the team at Nadiia Vovk’s Berehynia Charitable Foundation, it is meaningful to support initiatives that promote Ukrainian culture, education, and research into our history. Through work like this, we gain a clearer sense of Ukraine’s presence in the world, reflect on our connection to the past, and draw strength from a cultural foundation shaped over generations.
